This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate agronomic engineer or food technologist within our Technical department. Together with your colleagues you will work with both our suppliers and customers. As part of the technical team you will be responsible for safeguarding food safety and quality, ethical standards and environmental sustainability both internally and with our supplybase.

Your job responsibilities include:

· Supplier assessment
· Implementation of customer requirements
· Management of day to day quality issues
· Conducting internal audits and supporting third party audits
· Risk management including the planning and assessment of chemical and microbiological samples
· Drafting, implementing and managing a quality improvement process
· Driving a continuous improvement culture
· Monitoring and implementing changes to relevant legislation

Job requirements

We are looking for candidates with a degree level qualification (bachelor, master), preferably in agronomy or food technology.

To establish and maintain a good professional relationship with our growers, suppliers and customers, a technical background with a service oriented attitude and excellent communication skills are essential.

Data management, reporting, analytical & numeracy skills are essential alongside problem solving and critical thinking. You should be efficient, accustomed to working in a fast paced environment and have a good eye for detail whilst also contributing to the departments administrative needs.

Working at Q.P.I, means working in an international environment within a multicultural organization. You need to have the capacity to adapt yourself to many different cultures and environments as well as being able to demonstrate good teamwork skills. A high level of autonomy, tenacity and flexibility are also required in this position.

For this position it is mandatory to have an excellent command of English, you should be willing to learn Dutch, other language skills are an advantage. Strong computing skills including MS-Office are expected. Possession of driving license B is an advantage.
