The mission of our technical department is to be partner in business for suppliers and customers to ensure that all requirements for marketing fresh produce in different industries are satisfied.
QPI operates an accredited Food Safety Standard (BRC Global Standard For Food Safety) and maintains full HACCP and traceability from ‘farm to fork’.
QPI’s technical staff consists of competent and trained technologists. Important expertise areas are in-house and maintained, such as: risk management, food safety (management systems), food legislation, food technology, quality (management systems) and quality control. We have a certified QC staff with thorough expertise on salads and exotics quality parameters, diseases, defects, labeling requirements, marketing standards, quality requirements and storage and transportation conditions.
Willing to be a partner in business, we make our expertise and knowledge base available to our stakeholders. Some examples: we work with our clients in new product development and innovation and we co-develop our suppliers, transferring best practices to them and maintaining GlobalGap and other standards.
